The environment is equally as important as creating and sharing these pieces with you. 
So, we've worked hard to sustainably optimise our products and packaging. Balancing aesthetics, protection, and waste reduction is an ongoing process, but our commitment remains clear: to minimise our environmental impact thoughtfully and responsibly. As our practices continue to evolve, sustainability will remain a top priority.

For full transparency, this is what we're currently doing to ensure the creative process is as sustainable as possible:

• Orders are all completely plastic free.
• Pieces with minor imperfections are sold at discounted rates through Instagram stories to promote less wastage.
• Minimal packaging is used, without compromising protection
• Tape used (either paper tape or clear cellulose based tape) is biodegradable
• Tanishka felt pouches are optimised to be reused and repurposed & made from biodegradable felt
• They've also been specifically designed to the size of a standard credit/debit card. So you can repurpose them even if they don't house your jewellery.
• Post packaging comprises of either biodegradable satchels or unwaxed/uncoated cardboard shipping boxes
• Repairs or replacements are offered where possible to increase the longevity of each piece (refer to Contact, Repairs or Returns page)
• Raw materials and charms are ethically sourced from other small business manufacturers and/or silversmithing is directly outsourced and fairly waged.
